"The goal of the ESL/ELL program is to help students from other language backgrounds learn and use English effectively, succeed academically, and become productive, contributing citizens while continuing to cherish their cultural heritage."

My Hope

This site was designed to help the parents and students
find useful information to better understand
our culture and
the English Language.
Internet sites have been recommended and
I have designed pages that have vocabulary, pictures and good books that will add to the understanding of the lessons presented in class.
In addition I have recently added Basic Academic Vocabulary for Communication Arts and Math, Science and Social Studies.

I retired at the end of the 2015-2016 school year.

This web site was often used in my classroom and
it is my hope that the ELL families will refer to this site to locate
links that pertain to the thematic units.

I also have added information for teachers.
This information encompasses listening, speaking, reading and writing links.

Please spend some time exploring the many pages found on this site.
